What can Zoom's current connector do today?
Today there is an official Zoom connector for Claude, and it is read focused: it searches your meetings and retrieves AI summaries, transcripts, and recordings, with limited write ability beyond creating a follow-up doc. It cannot schedule, update, or invite. A custom Zoom connector adds those write actions through the Zoom API with scoped, human-in-the-loop controls.

How a Zoom connector works
We build a small MCP server that authenticates to Zoom with OAuth and the narrowest scopes the work needs. Read tools (look up meetings, fetch recordings and transcripts) and write tools (schedule, update, manage registrants) are separated, and destructive or outbound actions like delete are gated behind your confirmation. Claude only ever has the access your own Zoom account already has, and we can add IP allowlisting where your account requires it.
