How a WordPress connector works
We build a small MCP server that authenticates to WordPress with the narrowest access the work needs, using OAuth or scoped application passwords against the REST API. Read tools (fetch posts, list media) and write tools (create post, update page, upload media) are separated, and publishing, deletion, and comment moderation are gated behind your confirmation. Claude only ever has the access your own WordPress account already has, and for self-hosted sites behind a firewall we can pair it with IP allowlisting.
