How a Lattice connector works

We build a small MCP server that connects to Lattice through OAuth or a scoped API credential, using the narrowest access the work needs. Will Claude update goals or submit a review without my approval?
No. Updating a goal and submitting a completed review are gated write actions. Claude can prepare each one, but it is only saved after you approve it. You decide which actions run automatically and which always require a confirmation step, and read-only lookups stay separate from writes.
Does the Lattice connector get more access than I have?
No. The connector authenticates with your own credential or OAuth grant and inherits exactly the permissions you already have in Lattice. It cannot see or change people, reviews, or goals that your account cannot, and it does not bypass your organization's role-based access. We scope it to the minimum the task requires.
